Materials Informatics

Materials Informatics includes the offshoot collaborative undertakings of the recently completed DOST-GIA funded project, the Intelligent Data Analysis System (IDAS), in collaboration with DOST-ASTI and PDEA. As IDAS’ rapid and innovative pattern recognition techniques provide databanks of materials and substances (through artificial intelligence and predictive data analytics), its expanded capabilities will open greater opportunities for more materials informatics. This system is also a powerful tool to reveal underlying interrelations among samples which can be a key for process improvement.
