The semiconductors and electronics industry is the largest contributor to the Philippines manufacturing sector\u2019s revenue and employment growth. The Philippine government along with the Semiconductors and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc.<\/strong> (SEIPI) have been active partners in promoting the advancement of the industry as it plays a major role in the global electronics supply chain. In consideration of SEIPI’s proposal, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) established ADMATEL in December 2012 in response to the needs of the industry for Failure Analysis (FA) laboratories available in the country.<\/p>

The Advanced Device and Materials Testing Laboratory<\/strong> (ADMATEL) is a national testing facility that houses sophisticated and advanced analytical instruments for Failure Analysis (FA) and materials characterization. DOST’s Industrial Technology Development Institute<\/strong> (ITDI), through its Materials Science Division<\/strong>, manages the operations of ADMATEL in achieving its objectives: 1) Improve product quality and productivity, 2) Increase the number of products and innovative technologies, 3) Increase the number of R&D and S&T services; and 4) Develop capability on new and advanced technologies. ADMATEL also supports localization of design and corrective actions, providing easy access to state-of-the-art laboratory service with a shorter turn-around time of 24 hours compared to when done outside the country.<\/p>

Its recent successful transition from PNS ISO\/IEC 17025 in 2015 to the new PNS ISO\/IEC 17025:2017 version<\/strong> equips ADMATEL better in its scope of testing and sampling services. This milestone empowers ADMATEL with new capabilities and confidence to cater to laboratory test requirements locally and across the ASEAN region.<\/p>

Over time, ADMATEL has proven its credentials and success in delivering testing requirements for its growing clientele and will continue to build its capabilities and bring collaborations that will provide solutions and advancement for the local industries and academe sector.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
